CV
Monika Wesley has been on film sets since she was literally a fetus. Her mother a producer and father a director: the two met while working on the horror cult classic "Scarecrows."
In 2018 Monika released her feature directorial debut, the female-driven dark comedy, "I’d Kill For You." The film was sold through Unobstructed View, and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, iTunes and On Demand.
Monika most recently directed her second feature film, the TV movie Psycho Escort, which is currently airing on the Lifetime Channel, produced by Marvista Entertainment.
Monika has directed and produced feature films, acclaimed shorts, docs, docuseries, and web series that have premiered at festivals such as LA Comedy Shorts, La Femme, and Dances with Films Festival. Along the way, she has perfected a "micro budget producing formula" that allows her to stretch the dollar beyond what most deem possible -- a system that facilitates her effectively navigating between low budget to mid-level projects.
She also completed additional directing on "Emperor", released theatrically in 2020, starring "Terminator's" Dayo Okeniyi and supporting actors James Cromwell and Bruce Dern, produced by the prolific Reggie Hudlin, whose credits include "Black Panther" and "Django Unchained".

Monika received her B.A. in Film and Television from UCLA. She is a member of the DGA, Women in Film, and Film Fatales, currently residing in Los Angeles.
